In honor of the exhibition “Brion Gysin: Dream Machine,” at the New Museum through October 3, members of Sonic Youth and the Yeah Yeah Yeahs offer multimedia tributes to the Dreamachine.
For their New Museum performance, Lee Ranaldo and Leah Singer will combine live music, projections, and a Dreamachine, conjuring spirits in both sound and vision. For his first-ever solo performance, Nick Zinner will channel his visions of Dreamachine into a hazy, brilliant audio experience.
